Bellydance Videos That Meaghan Dig's

I really love the interaction between the performers and the dance forms in this video.... a true movement dialogue.

I can barely stand how angelic (yet saucy) sweet Suheir Zaki is. Before the recent Om Laila Student Recital, many of the students asked what to do with their faces while performing. Let Ms. Zaki instruct you on this point! Open and beaming!

Rachel Brice... 'nuff said....

The Indigo ~ Saiidi... An interesting troupe performance. I enjoy the Tribal-style saiid.

Nice Roma-influenced dancing... I'm really attracted to the earthiness of folkish movement. It's so grounded, so root chakra...

The Indigo in a cool burlesque number.... love it!

Dancing on new ground

I decided even before I left Canada, that I wanted to put a lot of focus into dancing when I came to Israel. To help realize this goal, I packed one of the two pieces of luggage I brought with costumes only! How's that for self-actualization?

Since I've been here, things have been st… Continue

Favvids

If pressured to say, I would easily call Sera my favorite dancer right now. I have loved her video (many times over) of her troupe Solstice at Tribal Fest 7. It's a definite keeper.

I have recently had the pleasure of viewing their new work from TB 09, and frankly, this is the really good shit. Storytelling, mime, musicality to the teeth, and some damn cool moves. Excellent dancers all around, especially Sera the mastermind behind the body work.

Get ready to experience some truly… Continue

Hey Meaghan! Thanks for addressing this issue! At first I thought it was just a message left for me, but then saw on the main page for the community that Tamela wrote on a bunch of people's walls.

Hey Meaghan - have you heard anything about the New Year's celebration happening at Xing tomorrow night/have you thought about attending? Friends and I are wondering whether this is the sumptuous, soulful night we're looking for. Hope you're well!

Meaghan! Thanks for the welcome! After work and school forced me to drop off the planet for awhile, it's good to be alive again. I'll be starting classes again in the new year...thrice a week :) Look forward to seeing you again and happy holidays!

Thanks Meaghan! You are too kind!! I had sooooo much fun performing. The RMM piece was hilarious! The three of you are super sassy! (and also talented and beautiful dancers.... but that bit called for attitude)

Hey Meggie,
I ramdomly sent you a note about a week ago but I didn't really know how to send them but I think I'm getting the hang of it. Thanks for the lovely compliment on the picture, this costume is my new toy...I love it. I wanted to tell you again how much you rocked at the Racquy and the Caveman gig and I am still trying to find pictures. Hope you are enjoying your summer and see you real soon.
