#1: RM2 @ Luminat'eau
Join Roula Said & The Roulettes:RM2 (featuring Mayada & Meaghan Shields) as they provide a refreshing take on bellydance at the 2008 Luminato Festival of Arts & Creativity. RM2 will deliver two performance and workshop presentations as part of Luminat'eau: Carnival H2O, giving focus to the delicious fluidity of bellydance. This weekend-long water carnival transforms the heart of Toronto’s waterfront into a joyous riot of creativity and celebration to enrapture all of your senses. So come one, come all and get down with your watery selves & RM2 at Luminat'eau: Carnival H2O.

#2: Whirling @ Day of Delight
Roula Said, joined by 6 others (including Meaghan Shields and Jayne Walling of Om Laila Bellydance) will present a Dervish-style whirling spectacle as part of the 6th annual Day of Delight, organized by Clay & Paper Theatre at Dufferin Grove Park.
The Day of Delight brings together collaborators of all artistic disciplines to contribute works on themes of Love, Courtship and Desire, within the context and tradition of outdoor performance in public space. This includes theatre, music, dance, spectacle, poetry, installation and puppetry.

Yotam & I are REALLY excited to be part of this regular cabaret series next Wednesday. We will be bringing a remount of the diggerido piece we debuted at a show in April, using breath, vocalization, drone & movement to access the large central themes of sex, love, death, passion and the avant-garde.

The Eros Cabaret series presents work in the disciplines of dance, film, music, theatre, spoken word and interdisciplinary media created and performed by both emerging and established artists.
